Shadow Farming provides access to a network of trusted Mentors. All Mentors posses a deep knowledge of farming and building a life in the country. Mentors can share their experience and knowledge with you.

Our Mentors can provide a number of informative sessions from a tour of their property through to the opportunity to work alongside and learn new tasks over a morning or afternoon.

You choose what you would like to learn from your Mentor, perhaps fencing, veggies or livestock…. horses or hobby farming… or reaching for self sufficiency?

A great family day out and an opportunity to get your hands dirty whilst learning and experiencing the beautiful existence that is country living.

Book a personalised one hour visit to a hand picked mentor’s property, hear their story, learnings and challenged and have the opportunity to ask your questions.

• Choose a mentor that matches your interest areas.

• Ask as many questions as you like - how to get started, avoid costly mistakes, learn about specific farming practices etc.

• Hand picked and vetted Mentors

• Note - No hands on work

• Cost - $150 for two people. Additional attendees $50 each.

Talk, Tour and To Do.

A full personalised morning or afternoon session at the mentor’s property. Get involved with tasks, ask questions and learn how it’s done.

• Approximately 3 hours

• Choose a mentor that matches your interest areas.

• Work with your Mentors to learn how to complete a specific task

• Ask as many questions as you like - how to get started, avoid costly mistakes, learn about specific farming practices etc.

• Hand picked and vetted Mentors

• Cost - $250 for one person. Additional attendees $100 each.
