Mel's Message - Spring 2018
Another winter under the belt….
and I wish I could tell you it gets easier, but by the time August hits I am well and truly over the grey skies and bone chilling cold. I give up on dealing with it and stay indoors as much as possible – I just look at the outdoor to-do list, zapped of any will to get a jump on Spring and decide to hibernate until the sun makes its very welcome and needed return.
Come 1 September, I feel such relief knowing that being deep frozen is going to be coming to an end and it will no longer take 6.72 hours to leave the house with myself and the kids in multiple layers, while having multiple arguments that singlets and thongs are not going to keep you warm even though you keep saying ‘But MUUUUM, I’m not cold’ – well your blue lips are a bit of a giveaway kiddos!
I never tire of seeing the Daffodils beginning to bloom with my favourite event on the Macedon Ranges calendar - the Daffodil Festival, especially the parade! I LOVE It! It brings everyone out, it’s all for the kids and the whole community seems to breath a collective sigh of relief that Spring is here, and the days are only going to get longer and warmer. Bring it on I say!!! I’ll see you in the sunshine – I’m excited!! Enjoy your Tree Change
